Hi there, I’m Emily
I'm a wife, a mother of two little boys, a registered dietitian (specialized in pregnancy, postpartum, and fertility), and a birth doula—but above all, I'm a follower of Jesus.
After serving families in Chicago and Alabama, God led me to New York, where I married my wonderful husband, Luke. I've now spent more than 11 years supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and it continues to be one of the greatest joys of my life.
As a Christian, I strive to walk in step with the Holy Spirit so that I can faithfully serve each unique laboring woman with wisdom, compassion, and excellence. My prayer is that every woman I support would feel safe, informed, encouraged, and deeply cared for throughout her pregnancy, labor, and postpartum journey.
For more than a decade, I've served families across the United States and abroad, including over eight years as a trained DONA International Birth Doula, seven years as a Registered Dietitian specializing in prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum nutrition, and certifications as a childbirth educator and lactation counselor. I currently serve families throughout Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and parts of Long Island.
THERE'S NO "RIGHT WAY"
TO GIVE BIRTH
No two women experience birth the same way. Every pregnancy, labor, and family has its own story, which is why I believe every woman deserves informed and compassionate care that is thoughtfully tailored to her unique needs.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside families through a wide range of experiences—including infertility, zero-intervention, unmedicated births in hospitals and birthing centers, inductions, home births, medicated births, planned and unplanned c-sections (including gentle c-sections), and VBACs. This breadth of experience has given me a deep well of knowledge, allowing me to provide informed, compassionate, and flexible evidence based support tailored to each mother’s needs, values, and birth preferences.
My role isn't to make decisions for you—it's to provide evidence-based information, help you understand your options, and support you as you make the decisions that are best for you, your baby, and your family. My hope is that you feel informed, confident, and deeply supported throughout your pregnancy, labor, and postpartum journey.
